Sarah Hicks

Sarah started her photography career in 2008 after graduating from Deakin University, having completed a Bachelor of contemporary arts, majoring in photography and visual art.Whilst Sarah has many years experience in different fields of photography, she now specialises predominantly in product photography due to the challenging and technical nature of it. Sarah’s professionalism, passion for the industry and her keen eye for technical photography make her work second to none.

Quality is everything in this industry. When a product is photographed it needs to be accurate. Colour, contrast, scale, sharpness and consistency are all very important aspects. A quality image gives your product the best chance in the market so it needs to look its best. Online products are so competitive its important you stand out from the crowd and look professional.
Eye For Detail
The small details matter. To achieve a professional image we need to remove every spec of dust and correct the image to potray it in real life. Reflections on the product must be perfect and not alter the perspective. Lighting will be altered based on each individual product. All products that are identicle but in different colours must be consistent. For example photogrpahed the exact same way with the same light, angle and size.
Flexibility
We are flexible with digital product alterations, for example if you only have the product in chrome but will offer it in copper we can usually digitally manipulate another copy to represent the chrome. Sometimes the overseas examples are NQR and we can digitally alter it to save time waiting for the correct product to arrive so that you can get your products on your website ASAP. We offer different backdrops, file sizes, file type and styles.
